Where it is desirable to deliver SMS messages as voice calls, X-on's highly intelligible speech synthesis can convert text into voice calls which can then be delivered to mobiles and landlines anywhere in the world.
SMS to Voice is commonly used where the recipients are blind, partially sighted or elderly. It's also useful for delivering messages to people whilst driving and using a hands free system. Where company mobile phones are limited in number, being able to deliver SMS messages to landlines is a useful facility.
Emergency Alerts
Emergency alerts such as inclement weather warnings, notifications to staff and customers, medication and prescription reminders and speaking web pages are some of the uses of SMS to Voice. As the message length is virtually unlimited, voice calls needn't be confined to the 160 character limit of SMS messages.
We use a 'real speak' interface that phonetically creates the words, creating realistic sounding sentences which do not suffer the same limitations as word database speech synthesis systems. This is particularly useful where messages include technical jargon.

The content of the message can be input in a variety of means in addition to SMS from a mobile phone, using email or a web form for example. The message is then converted to voice and delivered.
